I was one of the 36+ crafters and vendors to support this event held once a year. All proceeds from the raffles went to the Sunshine Acres Children's Home in Mesa, AZ. My table displayed books, Venice journals, magnets, cards, bands, and T-shirts that I was happy to create for this purpose….being there felt incredible for the sake of making this contribution for great cause. Also it was fun connecting with other creative people and shoppers. I was especially excited to have a table next to couple of other authors: Rita Goldner, whose children’s book I had to get: “Orangutan – A day in the Rainforest Canopy”. It is so colorful and the beautiful illustrations impressed me (Rita did them all); I intended to give it away, but I still have it. The other author, Laura Orsini, who also does so much more, including teaching other authors how to publish and market books, a true expert in her field, brought several of her books. I was excited to see her latest one: “Stan Finds Himself on the Other Side of the World” . It looks very interesting and I can’t wait to find some time and read it.
